The Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy defines the collection methods, purposes, security measures and your rights.

1. Protection of personal data

At Blackblox Ltd, we understand and support the importance of the privacy of our customers' data. Our Privacy and Data Protection Policy sets out how we collect personal data, the purposes for which we collect it, the security measures we take and your rights. We treat all personal information you provide to us fairly and protect it carefully in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Republic of Slovenia, the European GDPR regulation and our company's principles and vision.

In just one visit to a website, we exchange countless pieces of information. To help you understand what this means for you, how we collect, store and process this data and what your rights are in relation to it, we have prepared the following policy.

Your personal data may only be accessed by carefully selected employees of Blackblox Ltd and its authorised subcontractors, all of whom are limited to the scope and purpose necessary for the smooth performance of the work and sales processes and marketing purposes in accordance with the consent.

2. Who manages your personal data?

We are committed to a lawful and fair approach to the processing of personal data, which includes restricting access to data. For the purposes set out in point 5, your personal data may only be accessed by authorised employees of Blackblox Ltd, whom we consider to be trustworthy and competent in the field of data processing, and by authorised subcontractors with whom we cooperate for the purpose of technical support, in accordance with the principles set out in the Privacy Policy. These are:
  • online advertising providers on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram,

  • website and IT service maintainers and web interface maintainers,

  • developers and deployers of software solutions,

  • delivery services of Post Slovenia, DPD and DHL,

  • by public authorities or other legal persons where there is a legal obligation to do so.

All authorised subcontractors have a contract for the Processing and Protection of Personal Data in accordance with the principles set out in the Privacy Policy. All authorised employees and subcontractors are located in the European Union.

We ensure that all authorised persons handle personal data with care and protect it from misuse at all times during lawful processing.

We may, exceptionally, disclose your personal data to third parties, but only where non-disclosure would cause general or personal damage to you or where you yourself request that we disclose your personal data to a third party in accordance with the principles set out in the Privacy Policy.

3. How do we obtain your personal data?

We accept personal data in the following ways, in accordance with the principles set out in our Privacy Policy:
  • When you sign up for the newsletter using the form on the website www.blackblox.si. This way, your data will be transferred automatically or via the Klavyio app to the main electronic database within 1 day.
  • When using the website www.blackblox.si and all its subpages. This involves the use of web cookies to collect data, which you can read more about below.
  • Occasionally through sweepstakes and activities, and the user is always made aware of the purpose of the collection and use of personal data.
  • Through social networks and other marketing tools such as apps, where the consumer is always aware of the purpose of the collection and use of personal data.
  • Through your questions by email, regular mail or other forms of communication based on personal data.

4. What data do we collect?

We collect and store the following data for further use and processing in accordance with the principles set out in the Privacy Policy:

  • email address to subscribe to the newsletter,

  • questions and comments, media content, geolocation data and other information you provide to us,

  • social media data that you provide to us by interacting with us via the BlackBlox Facebook page and the BlackBlox LinkedIn profile,

  • your personal data obtained from publicly available sources, including social media,

  • other information you provide to us in the context of your self-initiated enquiry (which products you are looking for or viewing in our online shop).

5. Purposes of the processing of personal data and legal basis

We collect and process personal data for our own sales and promotional purposes through the website in the European Union and the rest of the world. We collect data for the following purposes in accordance with the principles set out in our privacy policy:

  • email updates on news, announcements and products,

  • provide the services you have requested (such as sending you online newsletters, notifying you of product re-availability, etc.) through the medium you have chosen (such as an email or a phone number),

  • managing your participation in various advertising activities (such as prize draws, surveys, etc.),

  • the performance of other obligations you have agreed with us,

  • Compliance with legal requirements (e.g. for invoicing),

  • identity verification to avoid fraud,

  • ensuring that the content and functionality of the website is tailored to your preferences and needs as much as possible,

6. How do we record data on our website?

When you visit the website, certain information is collected for the best possible performance, to ensure quality and to collect general usage statistics - this is information about your device, which is recorded through cookies and code embedded on the website. This information may include information about the type of device you use to browse (mobile phone, tablet, PC or other), your IP address, the type of browser and operating system, your activity on our website (e.g. which subpages you have visited, how you moved around the website, how long it took you to visit each page, etc.).

All the data we receive from your visit is expressed only in the form of an identification number, which means that we cannot identify the actual personal data of the user from it. Your data that we receive from your visit to the website is therefore secure; in order to access the exact data, we would need your personal permission (e.g. providing your e-mail address to subscribe to our newsletter).

8. Signing up via social media

We use leased ad space networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram to deliver targeted advertising of BlackBlox's new products and services based on user activity on our website and on demographic, interest and contextual data collected through the social network itself. In this case, your information is used to enable the social network to serve you the advertisements that are of most interest to you based on your perceived activity.

9. How long do we keep your personal data?

We will protect your personal data as long as there is an interest/need to do so or until you withdraw your consent. In cases where the processing and retention of data is based on a contract or is provided for by law, the retention period will be adapted to the contract or law.

If there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the data entered is untrue, we reserve the right to delete it from all databases without notice.

10. What are your rights?

You have the right to request at any time, without justification or consequence, that we complete, rectify or restrict the use of your data or that we permanently remove it from our database. You may also request access to or object to the processing of your personal data and request the transfer of your data. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until its withdrawal. If you believe that your personal data is stored or processed in breach of the applicable regulations governing the protection of personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.

You can request the complete deletion of your personal data from our system in the following ways, clearly specifying the content of your request:

  • send a written request by email to info@blackblox.si marked "Unsubscribe";

  • send your request in writing by ordinary post to our company's address marked "Unsubscribe";

Upon receipt of your request, we will stop processing your personal data within 5 working days.

Although we are committed to the security of your data, due to various factors beyond our control, the flow of information over the internet may not always be completely secure and consistent with our operations. Please take care when entering information that you send to us via online forms and do so responsibly.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to check for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when posted on this page.

The Privacy Policy of Blackblox Ltd shall enter into force on 1. 7. 2023.
